Brain Explosion
Music: Butterfly Explosion - Chemistry
I am due to complete a 500 words essay by tonight for a scholarship application but I strayed and here I am :) Hello! I discover another post-rock band, from Ireland. They're the
Butterfly Explosion (no relation to Explosions In The Sky ^.^) Fabulous band. Listen to Sophia on their
MySpace.
Tracing back to how I strayed from my objective when I first turned on my PC... I open Microsoft Word to start on the essay. Then, I got discouraged when I had a writer's block. So, I dig into my secret L Word directory and watch Episode 12. An hour past and I have a crush on Lara who looks absolutely cute in her winter outfit. I wanted that snapshot. I search the net and I end up here after two hours. Holy molly.. bonjoury~

I-N-S-O-M-N-I-A-C
I've been insomniac for the past few weeks. Once I went to bed at 12.30am and I could only stare at the ceiling before falling asleep at approximately 2.30am. All the time my brain was actively thinking about things that don't even matter, like replaying scenes from my social encounters that day. Anyhow, I'm glad that my brain did not decide to do triple integration while I was giving my 101% energy to sleep. Being sleep deprived when I didn't have a day job is fine as long as I can compensate by waking up at ten the next day. But the problem persisted to this day when I have to wake up at six in the morning to go to work. That leaves me with an average of five hours sleep! I tried drinking a cup of warm milk before going to bed but I only got hyper (probably the condensed milk I added). Feeling rather drowsy at work yesterday, I downed two cups of coffee. The caffeine worked like charm throughout the day but little did I expect, the 4pm cup only started to kick-in at night ¬_¬ Some friends simply recommended sleeping pills but I'm so not taking them at the age of 19. I wish, very much, that I have a second chance to listen to the lectures of my history teacher again. *sigh* ;]
I can't believe I'm going to a Disney On Ice show later tonight. Oh, the "I can't believe" should be read in a negative way. I got two free tickets from my godmom. Thank you but I don't think I'm in the position to appreciate this kind of show. Unless they give us something exciting like having Ariel pull off some seductive moves on Cinderella. Or Nemo doing a lap dance on Pinochio. Now, that's hot. Well, actually, I'm so uninterested that I don't even know which Disney characters are making an appearance. If I could trade-in my tickets for a match at the World Cup in Germany, I'd be the first in the line.

Yeah Yeah Yeahs
music: Yeah Yeah Yeahs - Show Your Bones
Urgh.. doesn't Yeah Yeah Yeahs sound pop-ish on their new album release? Yeah Yeah and Yeah! Track 4 Phenomena sounds like something from Britney, doing the cover of Satisfaction. Eeyerh! *begins stuffing ears with cotton candy and gummy worms* The distinctive rhythm and guitar riffs from their previous work seems to be fading from one track to another. The last few tracks are kinda country, pop-folk influenced. All I want is pure good punk rock follow up from their Fever To Tell album. But nope. No more except for a couple of considerably rockier tracks like Way Out and Fancy. Karen O's vocal wasn't as strong either. The crazy raspy screaming has been replaced by a smoother vocal. Pooh~
My new job is awesome. People go to work in jeans and with headphones on ;) I'll be working with maps and plans of underlying cables in the districts of a certain country which shall not be named. As I was sitting there facing the maps, my mind wondered off to how much the most wanted man on earth would pay me for the plans ^_o

Mismatch of Good & Nasty
music: Cat Power & Karen Elson - Je t'aime mon non Plus
Hopelessly romantic and beautiful song by Cat Power ^.^ They're kinda like Antoinette & The Johnsons of older days. Lovely. Gotta remember to play this to my other half when I found one.
I got a temp job and I'll be working next Monday! *happy happy 123* Money $$ starts coming in! And I might be using 1% of the pay to get a
Holga before the trip. And probably convert it into 35mm format from medium format since I have a few rolls lying around. All is looking good today. My wickedly evil ISP uncapped 50% of the download bandwidth this morning, so at least I'm able to download episode 11 of TLW at 30kb/s :)
Let's see.. yep, I have to rant about some arrogant salespeople at the computer fair. Typically, I spotted two types of computer salespeople. 1) Those who has limited knowledge about their products and consequently, providing answers which deviate from my questions. 2) Those who brag about their products and subsequently lie about products offered by other retailers. I wouldn't mind if they had to talk in circles but they don't have to tell lies. Not only that, the salesman undermined my knowledge and replied my enquiry in an arrogant way. I've lost all my confidence and faith, I don't want to walk into that booth at the fair again.
