We're Shrivelling Under the Intense Heat

music: Keane - Bend And Break

The weather is so fuck up. The ongoing dry spell has caused lots of pitfires and the air quality is rather bad due to the smoke. It's reported that there is rain in other states but not here! Our water will be rationed if this keeps on. I wish I could move to Switzerland this moment. It is bloody hot here...I'm sweating cats and dogs no matter where I am -_-;;

Some inconsiderate and impatient motorists really tick me off. I would have rammed into the fucking idiot if I hadn't been able to control my road rage. I hate Malaysian motorists!!! (most anyway, if not all)

I'm obsessed with photography and I can't concentrate on my homework. I'm fucking screwed. My day is a total crap today. Dammit.

The Academy Awards tonight :) Charlize Theron *hearts*

For The Love of Camera

music: Merry - Japanese Modernist

Thanks, cran. I have a gmail! =^.^=

I discovered that I have approximately $2000 which is enough for me to buy the Digital Rebel :> Oh, this is wonderful! But to spend every single cent will cause long term heartache >_< Waahh...what do I do? My solution is to work for 4 months the least, to earn back about $1500. Second solution...buy a used. At the same time, I'm thinking of waiting for the release of Rebel XT, but the cons: would cost more than $3000. The pro: new technology! Yumm! I feel that the best option would be to look for a used. After all, when it's time to enrol into the university, I could still bring it. If it was stolen, I wouldn't be crying my heart out. Moreover, I'm only using it as a hobby. Wouldn't hurt whether I have a high-end camera or not. It's the person behind the camera that counts =) I've not heard of any camera shops selling used digital SLRs though. If only I could use e-Bay!

Humph? Okay, I feel like I'm talking to myself. I'm writing this to have a clear picture of what I wanted. Whenever I change mind, I will refer to this blog, right? *pats blog* Nyanya... o.o

We Are Going to Deploy a Mission...

What an exceptional day today. After Valentine's Day, there is entirely another reason for a celebration of somekind. In a continent on the opposite side of the globe, fans of a particular show are going to be able enjoy its second season. Mean while, I would have to wait for a year before the arrival of the show in DVDs. I guess I could survive by feeding on forums and transcripts eh? ^_o

Bette says, "We are going deploy a mission to hack into one satellite transmitter to steal broadcast signals of Showtime". (If that is possible at all ^__^ Me no techno buff)

Well, at least we have Tru Calling showing tonight. Yayyhh! Hee~ o_o

Photography Hindrance

I just feel like kicking myself for being so self conscious whenever I lug a huge analog camera along. Yesterday I was trying to capture a bald tree (an old tree trunk with plenty of branches without the leaves). However, the whole time I was there, I couldn't help noticing a lady bringing her dog for a walk, a couple strolling by, an old lady with an umbralla, cars passing by and the daily activities in a residential area o.o Hmmphh. I care too much of what people would think of my grandpa's antique camera and of what I was doing, facing a camera towards an ugly scenery (though balding trees don't appear ugly to me). Soon after, somebody started an open burning and covered my subject in smoke -_- Well, anyway. At least today, I compensated for my dissapointment the day before. Yup...my parents brought us to a Thai restaurant at Genting Hill. The scenery was spectacular. We sat in a viewing tower type of hut, overlooking the paddy field. I get to take about 10 pictures today and the varying lighting conditions allowed me to tweak the settings on the SLR. Overall, it was fun although the food tastes like crap. I don't think I would like to return there for a second time. All I can say is that the food comes in small portions (we ordered medium size) and the dishes are not all that tasty (doesn't make you exclaim "Wow!"). Not forgetting to mention exorbitantly priced for such quality.

I got a 36 shots film loaded into the camera and it's taking forever to finish the roll! I really need a DSLR as replacement for the 35mm. Not that I think digital is better but more to the reason that I'm still an amateur. I'm just so afraid of the photos coming out all wrong while I have to pay over $10 to process the film. I'm contempleting whether to buy a used Canon EOS 300D or sit patiently until the price drop once the 350D is widely available. But then again, there's the Nikon D70 to consider. And my parents are at full force against me buying an expensive camera. And I don't have any money :)

Year of Rooster

music: The Murmurs - Genius

A shot of the decorations at Gurney Plaza for the festive season of Chinese New Year. It was taken last week but I did not post it. Time flies by so quickly! A week has passed since I sat down for a reunion dinner and all the joy of teasing my cousins, grabbing everything I could from the steamboat, eating too much cookies, receiving red packets and fire up those firecrackers ^__^

Drowned And Drowsy

music: Aqualung - Strange And Beautiful

Not another article on how women can please men! I don't understand why my classmates enjoy presenting such topics during the English period. Yes, our teacher has given us the freedom to choose any subject we wish to talk about. But I hope they would tackle serious issues instead of boy-girl relationships. Not that I am against it. However, what is the relevance of such topics to our studies? They took articles from Female, Vogue or Seventeen with headlines like "What are the qualities that men look in women?", "How to break up", "Ways to improve relationship"... @__@ Can I say boring? There is one article presented by my classmate which provides tips on the transformations that a woman can undergo to attract the opposite sex. It's pathetic, that as a female, one should change merely to satisfy what her crush/boyfriend/husband wants. Someone please bring TIMES or National Geographics! By the way...I presented transgenderism. Fuck it if nobody likes it.

Fabulous February

music: Petula Clark - Downtown

Wheee! We have hit February. You know what it means...L Word otakus or whatever The L Word enthusiasts call themselves. Hee :>

Hey, good looking? o__^ I photoshopped the baseball shirt to see how it would look like with the wordings and all. The number 231 is Tina and Bette's house lot number! Nyum ö__ö I wonder if it's going to be expensive to have a similar shirt printed? I would be so happy to have one! Meep meep :]
